The Story Behind Symfon
The development project had the working title Amfon, which later became the product name Symfon.
Amfon BL9 was a development series. When we presented the microphone to a customer as demanding as Pink Floyd, we got a thumbs down. Despite excellent test results, they commented: “It looks like it was made on the kitchen counter, and we can't identify with it.” This resulted in an improved design and a commercial product, the Symfon BC10.
